It was a very friendly place, and the food was awesome, although somewhat reminiscent of the food we had the previous day....hell, the previous meal even. We climbed, and drank, and bullshitted our way around the village. It was hit hard by the hurricane, but one gets a sense that community efforts are spread in a, well, socialistic fashion. Everyone comes together.

We met 2 cuban kids and a scrappy little dog(no relation), who took us around and climbed with us for the days we were out there. After we left, the group was kind enough to donate ropes, shoes, approach shoes, biners, and quick draws, along with some harnesses and the like. It's hard to get equipment there...and, like I said before.... These people represent everything good about Texas(except fashion-ha!)
